Varying in size, some made with scraps of antique fabrics I inherited (Toile de Jouy, lace, embroidered and pulled thread work, Japanese net), others with linen I have dyed myself. The way of working is inspired by my love of Japan’s mended and patched textiles which are usually referred to as Boro, or ragged, both in Japan and abroad.
